Upcoming Events, Workshops, and Education Programs:
The Education and Training Department staff continue to provide opportunities for members to gain and enhance their skills through our online trainings. These trainings are open to members in All Regions. Workshop descriptions and registration for all current offerings are available online at cseany.org.
Participants must use their own time or have approved release time to attend trainings if attending during their normal work hours. Grievance Representation Training and Representing Members in Discipline and Interrogation Training are both required for all officers as per the CSEA Constitutions.

Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP):
Need help paying for child care? The New York State Office of Children and Family Services’ Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides eligible families across New York State with financial assistance for child care. CCAP promotes early childhood learning and development while allowing parents/caretakers to work, get training or go to school. The CCAP is administered by local departments of social services (LDSSs) in 57 counties and NYC.

WDI Child Care Scholarship Program:
Workforce Development Institute (WDI) is dedicated to providing financial support to working families to help cover the high costs of child care. WDls Child Care Scholarship Program is designed to help offset some of those costs and allow parents to spend on essential needs and investments that contribute to their family’s well-being. Income eligibility Levels have increased significantly and more than 80% of those who complete a prescreen assessment qualify for child care assistance.

Registration Information:
It is important to preregister because the workshop attendance is used to determine the amount of materials and reservations for meals. If you register but cannot attend, please contact the region office to cancel your attendance. This will provide other members the opportunity to register.
